Aber was verursacht dieses Verhalten in uns Menschen, uns stetig gegenüber anderen Mitmenschen behaupten zu wollen? Ist es unser Überlebensinstinkt, unser Trieb nach höherer Anerkennung und Macht oder doch einfach nur menschliches Versagen an einem Schauplatz wie dem Arbeitsplatz, wo Auseinandersetzungen, Neid, Rivalität, Macht-missbrauch und Intrigen wie ein Hauch von Gift in der Luft liegen? Es führt für mich persön-lich kein Weg drum herum dieses Thema aufzugreifen, vor allem nachdem ich mein eigenes Assessment Center vor genau sechs Monaten bestanden habe. Denn nach dem Bestehen des Assessment Centers beginnt für den angehenden Erwerbstätigen schon der nächste große Test, und zwar die tatsächliche Umsetzung der vorausgesetzten Eigenschaften, um im wahren Berufsleben außerhalb der Simulation eines Assessment Centers bestehen zu kön-nen. Fähigkeiten die neben der fachlichen Kompetenz und charakterlicher Stärke, durch psy-chologische Stabilität scheinbar abgerundet sein müssen. In Anlehnung an diesem Ereignis beginnt für jeden Berufseinsteiger die Fortsetzung zur nächstschwierigen Prüfung, nämlich sich im Unternehmen zu integrieren. Ich wage zu behaupten, dass jeder in irgendeiner Form Berührungen mit dem Thema Mobbing hatte oder aktuell noch hat. Ich erinnere mich, als mein Bruder eines Tages von seinen ersten Wochen an seinem neuen Arbeitsplatz berichtete und mir im Laufe des Gesprächs zunehmend deutlich wurde, dass er Zweifel hatte. Ich hörte zwischen den Zeilen und merkte schnell, dass seine Freude überschattet war von Selbstzwei-fel. Verlustängste und Unsicherheit prägten seinen Alltag. Ich spürte deutlich wie sein Privat-leben ebenso in den Sog seiner Verzweiflung mit darunter litt. Die Ursache war ihm klar, denn seiner Auffassung nach war er nicht gut genug, es gelang ihm nicht seine Arbeit so zu verrichten, dass seine Vorgesetzten ihm die nötige Anerkennung zollten. „Demnach muss die Schuld bei ihm liegen“, anders wollte er und konnte er es sich nicht erklären. Er erkannte die Umstände nicht, begriff aber, dass sich was ändern muss. Er blendete die Probleme aus und machte einfach weiter, wie er mir im Nachhinein berichtete. sein Durchsetzungsvermögen und sein Halt, den er in seiner Familie hat, stärkten und ermutigten ihn diesen Weg weiter zu gehen. Er hatte in uns jemanden gefunden, der ihm zuhörte und verstand.[...]
