In der aktuellen wirtschaftlichen Lage ist es von enormer Bedeutung, dass ein Unternehmen, welches Software entwickelt, mit den entsprechenden Tools und Werkzeugen ausgestattet ist, um mit der Konkurrenz mitzuhalten. Dies beginnt schon bei dem Entwurf einer Anwendung. Denn in der heutigen Zeit genügt es nicht nur die Produktanforderungen umzusetzen. Die wichtigsten Punkte in der Software-Entwicklung, aber auch in anderen Projekten, sind die Komponenten Zeit, Kosten und Qualität. Nur wenn diese drei Komponenten miteinander harmonieren, ist es möglich, als Unternehmen konkurrenzfähig zu bleiben. Um dieses Ziel zu erreichen, ist es von enormer Bedeutung, dass Punkte wie Änderbarkeit bzw. Wartbarkeit, Wiederverwendbarkeit und Performanz ganz oben auf der Agenda stehen. An dieser Stelle kommen die bereits genannten Tools, wie zum Beispiel Entwurfsmuster, zum Einsatz.

Um eine Antwort auf diese Kernfrage der Hausarbeit zu erhalten, welche Einsatzmöglichkeiten von Entwurfsmustern im Bereich der Geschäftslogikschicht und der Datenhaltungsschicht existieren und wie diese funktionieren, werden zunächst die Grundlagen erklärt. Dazu zählen Begriffe wie Schichtenarchitektur, Drei-Schichten-Architektur und Entwurfsmuster. Im Anschluss wird detailliert auf die unterschiedlichen Entwurfsmuster der Geschäftslogikschicht und der Datenhaltungsschicht eingegangen. In diesen Kapiteln werden die verschiedenen Einsatzmöglichkeiten und die Funktionsweisen aufgezeigt. Das Fazit bildet den Abschluss dieser Arbeit, in dem die Ergebnisse dieser Arbeit kritisch betrachtet werden.

About the Author
Sheryl G. Feinstein, EdD, is an associate professor at the Education Department at Augustana College, where she teaches courses in educational psychology and adolescent development. She also serves as an educational consultant for an adolescent correctional facility in Minnesota. Feinstein has worked as a public school teacher, a K-12 curriculum coordinator, and a director at an alternative secondary school, and during the 2007-2008 school year she was a Fulbright Scholar in Tanzania, where she continued her research on adolescents. Feinstein currently resides in South Dakota.

Eric Jensen co-founded the world's largest brain-compatible academic enrichment program, SuperCamp, which now has over 50,000 graduates. In 1985, he founded Turning Point, which later became Jensen Learning and currently is an active member of the Society for Neuroscience, The President's Club at Salk Institute of Biological Studies, NY Academy of Science, American Psychological Association and International Mind, Brain and Education Society. Jensen is on the Advisory Board for Body, Mind and Child in Barnstead, New Hampshire. He is a partner and consultant in the Temporal Dynamics Learning Center Project at University of California at San Diego.

A Fast and Enlightening Read - Excellent for Teachers and Parents

I borrowed this book from the library and read it over the course of three days. I found it very "readable" and with plenty of big words about the brain in which I have only a passing interest.

If you are in a rush get this from the library, otherwise wait and buy one or more of her upcoming books titled:

"Parenting the Teenage Brain: Understanding a Work in Progress" (due in July 2007, 162 pages),

"Learning and the Brain: A Comprehensive Guide for Educators, Parents, and Teachers" (due in August, 2007, 576 pages),and

"Teaching the At-Risk Teenage Brain" (due in October 2007, 136 pages), [I believe this may be an update of "Secrets of the Teenage Brain" but am not sure.]

The chapters in "Secrets of the Teenage Brain" are:

1 - Teen Brain: Under Construction - talks about how the brain is like the framing of a house that still needs walls, wiring and a roof.

2 - Teen Cognition and Learning - keys to understanding how the teen learns and how teachers and parents can help in the process.

3 - The Social Brain - a great way to see life from your teen's point of view.

4 - Communication and the Unfinished Brain - yes it is possible to have meaningful communication with a teen.

5 - Self-Concept Under Attack - advice on how to improve the teen's (and your own) self view.

6 - The Risk-taking Brain - why they do it and how to help them not make such bad judgments that may have a lifelong impact.

7 - Reaching and Teaching Today's Adolescents - Tomorrow - Make a school that ....

And finally she wraps it all up with a four page summary of the entire book.

There is a lot of meat in this book for teachers and parents. I plan to purchase all three of her upcoming books as I am a volunteer working with pre K - 14 at risk students but I suggest you star with the one that is most appropriate to your needs.

PARENTING THE TEENAGE BRAIN

Teenagers are perplexing, intriguing, and spirited creatures. In an attempt to discover the secrets to their thoughts and actions, parents have tried talking, cajoling, and begging them for answers. The result has usually been just more confusion. But new and exciting light is being shed on these mysterious young adults.

What was once thought to be hormones run amuck can now be explained with modern medical technology. MRI and PET scans view the human brain while it is alive and functioning. Excellent Source for Middle & High School Teachers

I am a continuation high school teacher. My students come from situations of illness, abuse, preganacy,trouble with the law and different styles of learning. They are in my classes because they didn't make it in a regular school setting. This book has given me such insight to the brain development of my students. "Secrets," has provided an understanding of the "neurological and biological changes that teenagers experience." The most useful aspect, included in each chapter, of "Secrets" are the sections on "Instructional Strategies," and "Things to Try." I will definitly use these suggestions in my classroom next term. This is a great tool to add to my teacher's bag-of-tricks!

Problems with teenagers? Read this book

I purchased two of these for friends of mine that have 14-year-old boys. They complain about how lazy and uncooperative their teenage sons are. I thought this would be a great help to them to understand that there are all kinds of changes going on with their teenagers minds and they need to understand what is physiogical versus poor behavior. I would recommend this book for anyone with a teenager.

A Necessary Reference, But Far Too Many Problems!

Forty years have elapsed since the first edition of this Guide appeared. One would think that during that time, sufficient opportunities would have been available for a thorough re-examination of its contents--whether for the correction of errors, the addition of previously-omitted composers and works, and for the style and usefulness of the descriptions. To a limited extent this has been done for the new 4th edition, which is some 250 pages larger than its predecessor. Unfortunately far too many problems still remain.

Any reference book is only as useful as what it contains for whatever the user is looking up at the moment. From that standpoint, why are only a few of Beethoven's variation sets and Bagatelles described or listed? No one would insist on descriptions of all 555 Scarlatti Sonatas, but only 15 are singled out for specific mention. Similarly, there is an arbitrary selection of only 19 of Haydn's 50+ Sonatas, and fewer than half of Chopin's nearly 60 Mazurkas. This is standard repertoire where all the individual works ought to be at least briefly covered. The Iberia suite of Albeniz gets an overall mention, but we are told nothing about the 12 substantial, individual pieces within that work. Nor do the 24 Preludes & Fugues of Shostakovich receive anything more than a generalized overall summary.

Among earlier keyboard composers, coverage is hit-or-miss, usually the latter. There's no mention of Sweelinck, for example, and for Byrd, Gibbons, Rameau, both Couperins, Duphly, Chambonnieres and Frescobaldi we get only lists of published editions; anyone seeking a representative sampling of specific works is out of luck. The relative allotment of space for several entries is questionable: why do Messiaen's early, unrepresentative Preludes, for instance, deserve a full page?

Major omissions, especially for 20th-century composers, are far too numerous for a reference book of this type. Fortunately Scott Joplin, Eubie Blake, Jelly Roll Morton and James P. Johnson are included, but by the same token, where are James Scott, Joseph Lamb, Zez Confrey, Dana Suesse, and Billy Mayerl? Nowhere to be found are any of the following, all of whom have had major piano works published, performed and recorded in recent years: Salvatore Martirano, Roxanna Panufnik, Ernst Levy, Earl Wild, Alberic Magnard, Nikolai Roslavets, Ronn Yedidia, Pancho Vladigerov, Ernest Schelling, Oldrich Korte, and Alexis Weissenberg. Other composers who are included receive less than their due: important recent works by Richard Danielpour, David Del Tredici, Stephen Hartke, and Judith Zaimont (among others) are missing, as are Carl Vine's Second and Third Sonatas and his Bagatelles and Preludes, Charles Wuorinen's Third Sonata, Leon Kirchner's Second and Third Sonatas, and Easley Blackwood's Concert Etudes and Sonata.

Most entries include concise descriptions of style characteristics and pianistic requirements. Too many, however, contain outright factual errors. According to the Guide, Bach's Goldberg Variations consist of 32 (not 30) variations! Max Reger is absurdly credited with writing "50-page Fugues." Liszt's etude called "Ab Irato" is said to conclude "with two pages of quiet loveliness" when in fact it hurtles to a violent ending. The timing given for the Dukas Sonata--65 minutes--is at least 25 minutes beyond its usual duration. Sorabji's Sonata No.3 does not last "12 hours" (!?); 90 minutes is more like it. Calling Michael Tippett's Sonata No.2 "mainly lyrical" misses the point of the work entirely. Among misspellings (relatively few), Sergei Bortkiewicz remains "Bortikievich" even after four editions of the Guide.

Too many descriptions border on the naive or sophomoric. There is a reference to "Diabelli's fun theme." We are duly informed that Chopin's Barcarolle is "remarkably successful" (was there ever any doubt?). A Chopin Waltz is said to be "Effective, brilliant, pianistic. Makes a fine effect." Then there are attempts at performance instructions: "Find correct tempo and hold it"; "Do not drag tempo"; "Watch the fp markings." And so on.

The book offers many bibliographical references to articles, dissertations and monographs, but again these are hit or miss. Important recent volumes on Alkan, Busoni, Medtner, Sorabji, Anton Rubinstein, Reger, and Shostakovich are apparently unknown to the authors. The works list for Alkan, incidentally, is still a mess, completely confusing the make-up of his Op.39 Etudes in the Minor Keys.

The general comprehensiveness of the book makes it a necessary reference for pianists and teachers, but only by default (since it really has no competition among English-language piano literature surveys). In light of the many problems throughout (only a few mentioned here), and the four decades that have elapsed since the first edition, it could and should have been much better. Perhaps a Wiki version ought to be prepared for electronic access with the capability of additions and corrections.

I'll have to opt for the hard copy fifteen pounder...

I returned the Kindle version of this Book. There is no good way to search the book with Kindle. I have used the notes function to create my own indexes for navigating through the alphabetical structure. But that takes a lot of time. Then I wanted the "notes" for this (and other) books to be synchronized across two or three devices. After "indexing" as far as the T's, my "notes" synchronized, but they synchronized to the device that only had two "notes"-- effectively erasing the notes. I would like to have the book in digital format but the paper hard copy is going to be my better option. Otherwise, I love this book. It isn't perfect; but, the scope is amazing. Sometimes Dr. Hinson's tone is almost coffee-talk casual. But I enjoy those ambiguous shades tone as much as the attempt to be concise, meaningful and "comprehensive".

Fantastic resource for performer, teacher, and hobbyist pianist.

I have owned the previous editions of Hinson's guides and used them over and over to find interesting and well crafted pieces that are "off the beaten track." I also love the listings of editions available. The ratings are very helpful, and the scholarship is of the highest quality. I have found pieces to add to my solo recital programs that are wonderful and unique, pieces for my students that are perfect when I am looking for music for small hands or "easy sounds hard." It's also a great guide to the immense world of classical music publishing when the choices seem overwhelming. I appreciate this reference book very much and love this latest edition. Lots of new composers included.

I was there, It was a crazy fun time! A true accounting!

Just finished this book yesterday! What a great read, a delightful remembrance for me and such a true story about typical small town Indiana basketball, community, school, family and friends back in the 60s! As a Junior in High School at the time and a statistician for the team, I lived first hand what Mike wrote in this book about the basketball games. He recorded it so perfectly. Naturally, the hiring process and information about Coach Gill was new news to me, very interesting and knowing most of the characters mentioned in the book, I can close my eyes and hear those conversations taking place.........along with some colorful language that may have been closer to reality! A great town to grow up in, a great time in its history and Mike did a great job of putting it on paper! Thank You Mike...........and your Dad for guiding us during that fun and exciting time!

Brings back great memories

This is a great book for any person who loves small towns and basketball. This book brought back many memories for me. I also grew up in Southern Indiana and lived in a small town that is frequently mentioned in the book, Tell City. I was in high school from 1972-1976 and during that time, and before Tell City enjoyed great success in basketball. It was a foregone conclusion that we would win sectional. The only question was if we would win regional too. Tournament season was a highlight of the year much the same as Christmas. The whole town was involved. We also travelled in a caravan to every game of sectional and regional and back home. After winning sectional or regional, we travelled in a caravan all the way home from Boonville or Evansville and ended with a huge, boisterous, horn-honking parade down Main Street lead with the players on the fire truck. We had a contest to paint all the store windows on Main Street. We had competitions between the classes to decorate the halls at school. We had spirit days and rousing pep assemblies where Superintendent Swadley would get up and lead a cheer of Go,go,go,go! I think he was also mentioned in the book. Also, Mr. Steftenagel eventually ended up at Tell City High School as our Asst Principal and I knew him very well. He was a fine man. The Roos family eventually moved to Tell City and lived next door to my aunt and uncle. I knew the younger kids as well as Mike's parents, and even had Mike for English when he was student teaching. I never knew that they lived in Ireland before coming to Tell City until this book came out. Unfortunately, for Tell City, my class did not have a great team and lost the sectional for the first time in many years. The grief in town that year is indescribable. I don't think Tell City basketball ever really recovered from that loss. Basketball is not really the same in Indiana any more with consolidation and class system but is still very enjoyable and the games are still a gathering place for a small town. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and highly recommend it. It is also a great book about people and relationships so I think anyone would enjoy it.

Even if you're not into sports...

“One Small Town, One Crazy Coach,” is a very fun read. Even if you do not possess even the most basic knowl- edge of basketball, you will understand that this crazy, eclectic coach, Pete Gill, means business, and you will see how his small town Indiana high school bas- ketball team, the Ireland Spuds, grows as a whole towards each of its achieved victories.
Gill, the central character of the book, is portrayed as being propelled by an un- conventional sense of sportsmanship. He offers himself up on crazy incentive tactics. He hides neither a sense of frugality nor a personality, which many regarded as crass, or “not-so-Dimp-Stefenagel,” the previous coach.
As a reader, I developed a connection with Pete Gill, Red Keusch, Jim Roos, and other characters as they each entered the story from separate angles and combined to form a most unlikely successful school sports team.
The book does present its own element of believability, as the team wins almost all it hopes to, on its way to the Indiana Sweet Sixteen, before losing to the much bigger defending state champions, Evansville Bosse.
Since Ireland had never won a post- season tournament under legendary for- mer coach Dimp Stefenagel or any other coach, for that matter, each win becomes more monumental than the previous.
At the conclusion of the story, Pete Gill comes full-circle from being the sup- posed athletic heretic of the town to be- ing a small town hero. The reader is sad- dened that the journey has come to an end.
However, it holds within itself what all literary works do—a great story that lives on, forever!

Jusqu’au milieu du 20ème siècle le droit de grève est resté contesté aux fonctionnaires, pendant que la loi du 21 mars 1884 l’a reconnu aux salariés du secteur privé. La grève était vue comme dangereuse dans le secteur des services publics ayant comme but la satisfaction de l’intérêt général. Selon Rolland les services publics reposent sur quatre piliers, dont celui de la continuité, qui impose un fonctionnement régulier des services, sans interruptions. En conséquence, la grève qui se définit comme cessation collective et concentrée du travail destinée à appuyer des revendications professionnelles, semble inconciliable avec le principe de la continuité. Il en résultait que le droit de grève était pendant une longue période interdit aux fonctionnaires au nom du principe de continuité. Malgré l’interdiction des syndicats dans les fonctions publiques ils se sont développés dans les fonctions publiques avant leur reconnaissance officielle en 1945. La grève est la conséquence logique du syndicalisme et on ne pouvait pas tolérer les syndicats pendant qu’on interdisait la grève. D’ailleurs, il faut tenir compte du fait que malgré l’interdiction officielle de la grève, certaines très dures se sont développées et ont porté atteinte à la continuité dans les premières années du XXe siècle. Dans ces cas l’aspiration au droit de grève a primé le droit. Il en résulte que l’interdiction totale de la grève risque ainsi d’être dépourvue d’une efficacité totale.
C’est aussi dû à l’extension continue du champ des services publics que l’interdiction totale de la grève ne semble justifiable que dans les cas des services fondamentaux. Finalement, grâce à la disposition relative au droit de grève dans le préambule de 1946, le droit de grève est aussi reconnu dans le service public par le Conseil d’État en 1950 . Le principe de la continuité de l’Etat a été toujours reconnu comme supérieur au droit de grève jusqu’au moment ou le droit de grève est érigé en principe constitutionnel (I) et empiète désormais sur la suprématie apparente de la continuité de l’État ce qui nécessite une conciliation des deux principes (II).

Bei der Analyse wird sich auf die im Allgemeinen als Kaiser gezählten Personen beschränkt, an eben denen ja auch die Periode festgemacht wird, und die vielen Usurpatoren und Gegenkaiser nicht einzeln beschreiben.
