Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2007 im Fachbereich Geschichte Europa - Deutschland - Nationalsozialismus, II. Weltkrieg, Note: 1,0, Universität Vechta; früher Hochschule Vechta (Institut für Bildungs- und Sozialwissenschaften), Veranstaltung: Pädagogische Epochen – Übergänge und Abgrenzungen, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Das Ziel dieser Hausarbeit ist eine möglichst exakte Rekonstruktion der NS-Rassenhygiene. Im ersten Hauptteil sollen dafür wichtige Vorarbeiten geleistet werden. Zunächst werden die beiden grundlegenden Hauptströmungen Euthanasie und Eugenik in ihrer zeitlichen Entwicklung kurz dargestellt. Darauf aufbauend wird dann die Verknüpfung dieser beiden mit weiteren Strömungen der Natur- und Geisteswissenschaften dargestellt. Dabei handelt es sich vor allem um sozialdarwinistische sowie völkisch-nationale Bewegungen. Außerdem soll im ersten Schritt die Rolle der Pädagogik im Zusammenhang mit der Rassenpolitik der Nationalsozialisten herausgearbeitet werden.
Im zweiten Schritt sollen dann die praktischen Implikationen der dargelegten Theorie untersucht werden. Angefangen mit Formen von Institutionalisierung und möglichen juristischen Kodifizierungen, über konkrete Maßnahmen – wie die Aktion T4 – bis schließlich zu einer Neubewertung der Rolle der Pädagogik nach Analyse der praktischen Umsetzung der Theorie. Einige Schlussbetrachtungen sollen das Thema abrunden.
Eine kommentarlose Darstellung dieser jeder Menschenwürde und moralischen Grundwerten widersprechenden Ereignisse ist nicht einfach, erscheint im Sinne der historischen Genauigkeit aber als notwendig. Auf Anführungsstriche bei euphemistischen Begriffen des NS-Jargons wird daher ebenso verzichtet. Die Grausamkeiten der dargestellten Taten im Maße einer völligen Kulturentledigung sollen daher hier an dieser Stelle stellvertretend für die ganze Arbeit zum Ausdruck gebracht werden: „Untaten von so ungezügelter und zugleich so bürokratisch-sachlich organisierter Lieblosigkeit, Bosheit und Mordgier, dass niemand sie ohne tiefste Scham darüber zu empfinden zu lesen vermag, dass Menschen zu solchem fähig sind.“
